Im not exactly sure what you are referring to but my opion is scholarships should be based on the ablilty to help the team and what you can do. You should be able to use that money for tuition, books, room and board, or to buy a car.....its your money that you earn and you have the right to do what you want with it. Now, financial aid is for those who need the money. that money should go directly to pay the tuition and books of the ones who can not afford it.
I may have missed your point completely, but thats my opion on scholarships.
They should be able to buy a car with scholarship you think? This isn't the pro's they don't earn money from their ability.
I think if you get a scholarship you should be obligated to play 4 seasons of it before moving on. If not pay it back. I went to school with plenty of kids that busted their ass in school did good only not to be able to afford college. I bet if they could have they would have went to full time.
Uh, since when did scholarships work anything like that? I didn't know it was pocketed. And if they only spend one year, why would they have to pay for three more years? They don't keep or use the money after, why would they have to pay anything back that wasn't spent? Pretty sure scholarships work nothing like that.
Schools make WAY more money off a guy like Wall then he makes in scholly money
Its not pocketed. Who said anything about paying for years they dont attend? 1 yr in a 4 yr college is useless.
Oh I agree biggin they make alot of money off sports. Also great advertisement. I just think they should have to be more committed to the school than to come in leave.
You said that if they don't stay all for years, then pay it back, why? They aren't keeping the rest of the scholarship or anything, so why pay it back?
Pay back what they already got.
Why? It was used for it's intention, no more, no less.
Oh jesus I thought I had you on block or whatever. They used it to attend school. School typically isn't a 1 yr affair.
